Meet the team
Niro Mahasinghe
Chief Executive Officer
CEO, Chief Architect and co-founder of cellXica, Niro’s strategic vision, radio system design expertise, software and hardware engineering experience, and meticulous attention to detail, have all been instrumental in driving innovation at cellXica.
With a First Class Honours BEng in Electronic, Telecommunications and Computer Engineering from the University of Bradford, he brings over 20 years’ experience in the design and implementation of cellular wireless communication systems, including GSM, W-CDMA, LTE, and 5G-NR. Niro is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
Stacey Matthews
Director & Chief Operating Officer
Stacey joined cellXica in 2017, bringing the valuable operational expertise and experience she gained over 10 years in previous roles with SMEs. Arriving shortly after cellXica started trading, she has since been hands-on in managing and steering every aspect of the company’s growth. Stacey was appointed to the board of directors in January 2024.
Nick Roberts
Head of Engineering
Nick brings over 30 years’ wireless communications expertise and experience to cellXica, having spent that time across design, engineering and management positions. With roles in both large telecom businesses and many smaller venture capital-funded startups, his work has included developing components, circuits and full transceivers for microwave backhaul, cellular base stations and DAS applications. Nick manages cellXica’s complete product lifecycle, from initial concepts and prototyping through to release and manufacturing.
Julian Hildersley
Chief Commercial Officer
An experienced business leader with his roots in cellular handset systems engineering, Julian has held senior roles in blue chip multinational corporations, venture-funded technology start-ups and consultancies. Drawing on over 30 years’ engineering and commercial experience, Julian relishes the challenge of bringing together cutting-edge technologies and world-class products to create new commercial opportunities, all the while improving his clients’ business performance.
